My name is Kartik Rohilla, a passionate student and aspiring cybersecurity expert. Born in Bharaf and currently residing in Kanina, I am 19 years old and have embarked on an exciting journey toward a career in cybersecurity. Here's a glimpse into my life and the experiences that have shaped me.
I completed my 10th grade in 2021 and my 12th grade in 2023. My academic journey has been both challenging and rewarding. After completing my 12th grade, I decided to take a gap year to prepare for the IIT-JEE exams, a decision driven by my ambition to secure a spot in one of India's prestigious engineering institutes. Despite my best efforts and dedication, I was not able to clear the JEE Mains in my first attempt.
This setback did not deter me; instead, it motivated me to pivot towards my true passion - cybersecurity. I decided to pursue a B.Tech in cybersecurity, a field that has always fascinated me. This decision marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life, where I could combine my interest in technology with a career path that excites me.
From a young age, I had a keen interest in web development. After my 10th grade, I began learning HTML, CSS, TailwindCSS, and Python. My thirst for knowledge led me to read over 10 books on HTML and CSS, sourced from my school library. I even delved into an international book on these subjects, broadening my understanding and skills.
My passion for cybersecurity and web development drove me to undertake numerous projects. I joined Grand Theft Coders, where I had the opportunity to work on various web development projects. This experience was invaluable, allowing me to create websites for people and hone my skills further. To date, I have developed more than 10 websites for clients, showcasing my proficiency and dedication to the craft.
One of my significant achievements is the creation of my personal website using TailwindCSS, which I proudly hosted on GitHub Pages. This project is a testament to my ability to independently manage and execute complex web development tasks.
Despite my aversion to social media, I understand its necessity and use it judiciously. All my social media handles are under the username "kartik2005221," a moniker that has become my digital identity.
My life has been greatly influenced by three key individuals: my father, Umashankar, my mother, Rekha, and my mentor, Ashish Agarwal sir. My parents, both tailors by profession, have instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance. Ashish Agarwal sir, my mathematics teacher during my drop year for IIT-JEE preparation, has been a guiding force and an inspiration. His teachings and encouragement have played a crucial role in shaping my academic and personal growth.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have a deep interest in exploring different apps, mobile technologies, and websites. I am not just a learner but also a creator, constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve.
On a personal note, I manage thyroid issues and a slight hormonal imbalance. These health challenges have taught me resilience and the importance of self-care. I find solace and wisdom in reading the Bhagavad Gita, which adds a spiritual dimension to my life.
I am currently working on a book titled "7 Points to Rule Them All," where I aim to share my insights and experiences with a broader audience. Writing this book is a reflection of my commitment to contributing to the community and helping others on their journeys.
